Concern not walking
by: Anonymous

Hello, don't worry about your child not walking yet, except if there are other signs of the child not progressing"normally". My daughter would not walk unassisted until 17 months of age and then suddenly, one day she just realised that she could do it on her own. She spent about 2 hours walking around the yard that day and we've been running after her ever since...

different children walk at different ages, if your child seems to be developing normally, and either crawl or shuffles, try not to worry, you can always ask a local doctor about it, or a health visitor.
