There are a lot of ways to enjoy the holiday season with your family and one of them is to create cute Christmas decorations.
Here are some kids snowman crafts that you can do at home.
It can also be used as giveaways or gifts for friends and relatives.
Here is how to make a snowman snow globe.
First, get a transparent baby food jar. Glue a small plastic snowman to the inside of the jar using waterproof glue and let it dry for a couple of hours.
Fill the jar with water and add some coloured glitters. Grate a little bit of plastic and use the shavings as snow.
Replace the jar and lid and use a hot glue to seal the jar.
For each snowman treat, you will need 3 jet-puffed marshmallows, a lollipop stick, a peanut butter cup, a chocolate wafer, 2 pretzel sticks, 1 piece of chewy fruit snack roll and 5 candy-coated chocolate pieces.
First, poke the marshmallows into the lollipop stick to make it look like a snowman.
Place the peanut butter cup with the wafer to the top of the snowman as the hat.
Insert the pretzel sticks on the sides of the middle marshmallow for the arms.
Cut the fruit roll and use it as a scarf and then place an orange candy-coated chocolate to make a snowman nose.
Finally, decorate with colourful candies for the snowman's buttons.
For this craft, you will need a tablespoon of salt, 2 tablespoons of flour, a tablespoon of water, a bowl and spoon, a cookie sheet, toothpick, paint (white, orange and black), a paintbrush, ribbon and an acrylic sealer spray.
Mix the flour, salt and water in a bowl and mix with the spoon. Take the dough and then knead it with your fingers until it is smooth.
Take out a small portion of the dough for making the nose and then roll the remaining dough in your palm and form a ball.
Flatten the ball in cookie sheet by pressing it down. Take the smaller piece of dough and form it into a carrot shape then firmly press it into the round flattened dough for the nose.
Push a toothpick on the top of the snowman's head, but not too close to the edge. Move it in a circular motion until it opens up into a hole big enough to insert a ribbon through.
Bake the ornament at 250 degrees for two hours then remove it from the oven and let it cool down.
After it is completely cool, paint the round portion white and the nose orange. Use the opposite edge of the paintbrush dipped in black paint to draw dots on the snowman's eyes and mouth.
Let it dry for a few minutes. Spray a couple of coats of acrylic sealer on the ornament and when completely dry, tie a ribbon through the top hole and place as a holiday decoration.
You will find that these snowman crafts for kids will not only be a learning activity but a special bonding activity between you and your children.
